Hey, so I looked into the Amazon Basics Hardside Carry-On Luggage, and while it's pretty popular for its compact size and functionality, there are a few common complaints you might want to know about before buying it. Here's what I found:
Limited Internal Space
Even though the suitcase size seems perfect, some people feel like the internal space is more cramped than they expected, especially when comparing it to other brands.
So, if you need to pack a lot, this might be something to consider.
Build Quality Concerns
There are some issues with build quality, particularly with the zippers and the telescoping handle. According to our research, zippers occasionally misalign or get stuck, which can be really annoying.
Plus, the telescoping handle sometimes doesn’t extend or retract smoothly. It's a good idea to thoroughly check these parts when it arrives.
Weight and Maneuverability
While most folks find it lightweight and easy to maneuver, especially thanks to the four spinner wheels, some have noticed the wheels don't hold up well over time.
They might not roll as smoothly after a bit of heavy use, which can be a pain when you're rushing through an airport.
Scratches and Scuffs
Even though the manufacturer claims it's scratch-resistant, some travelers have found that it picks up scratches and scuffs pretty easily.
If you travel a lot, this could mean it starts looking worn out faster than you'd like.
In short, the Amazon Basics Hardside Carry-On Luggage is a decent, budget-friendly option with good performance for short trips.
Just be aware of the potential issues with space, zippers, handles, and durability against scratches.
