The Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket is pretty popular with outdoor folks mainly because it's easy to move around with. From what we've gathered, the V2 Olympic Fog version stands out due to its lightweight materials, kind of like what you find in sleeping bags or insulated jackets. This makes it a good pick for camping, hiking, or picnics.
When you pack it up, the blanket becomes quite compact, around 7" x 16", which makes it easy to toss in a backpack or the car trunk. But when you unfold it, it covers a nice 52" x 75" space, so it’s good for spreading out or wrapping up.
Plus, the Cape Clip lets you wear it hands-free—super useful when you're on the move.
The blanket's DWR coating means it's resistant to water, stains, and odors, which is great for outdoor use. That said, you should be a bit careful around campfires. Some folks in our research have noted that it can get burn holes if it's too close to the fire, so it’s not the best in terms of fire resistance.
If you're thinking about using it by a campfire, maybe take some extra precautions or check in with the manufacturer about how fire-resistant it really is. While it's sturdy and useful in lots of situations, direct flames might not do it any good.
Overall, the Rumpl Original Puffy Blanket is super easy to pack and carry, making it a handy option for adventures. Just keep in mind the fire aspect if that's a big deal for you—worth asking the manufacturer about or considering other blankets if that's a must-have feature.
