Wondering if you can toss the Ellie's Best Pro Quality Nut Milk Bag in the dishwasher? Here's the scoop: This bag is made for all sorts of things like nut milks, juices, and cold brew coffee, thanks to its fine nylon mesh and sturdy construction.
Dishwasher Safe?
From what we've found, the manufacturer doesn't specifically mention that it's dishwasher safe. However, some folks have had luck cleaning it on the top rack of their dishwashers.
Just keep an eye on the heat and washing intensity so you don't damage the mesh. To be on the safe side, many people prefer to hand wash it using mild soap and then let it air dry to keep the material in good shape.
About the Drawstring:
The bag comes with a drawstring closure, which is supposed to keep things nice and secure. Some feedback shows mixed results—some people say it doesn’t always close tightly, which can lead to tiny leaks if you put pressure on it.
Some tips we've come across include trying different ways of tying the string or using elastic bands for a more secure fit.
Despite that, the drawstring gets a thumbs up from many for making the bag easier to handle when you're straining stuff.
So, while you can use your dishwasher with caution, hand washing is often recommended to make it last longer. All in all, according to our research, it’s a great pick if you want a reliable tool for your homemade drinks.
Hope this helps you figure out if it belongs in your kitchen lineup!
