Hey! I see you're asking about using Dixon Valve TTB75 PTFE tape for gas pipe connections. It's generally a solid choice for sealing pipes, especially in plumbing jobs.
However, it seems this tape is specifically designed for air and water seals. The manufacturer highlights its ability to withstand a wide temperature range from -212 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, which is pretty impressive for most environments. So, it's great for things like water pipes or air fittings.
The tape is made from PTFE, and it's about 520 inches long, 3/4 inch wide, and 3.5 mils thick. According to our research, people generally praise it for effectively stopping leaks on plumbing fixtures like showers and faucets – it seems to make those fittings nice and tight. Plus, it's easy to use because of its handy size and length.
That said, when it comes to gas connections, it's wise to check if there are any specific requirements. Gas fittings often need sealants that can handle those particular conditions, so just make sure you're using the right product there.
Hope this helps!
