If you're thinking about using the BLACK+DECKER LST136 for edging, it seems like a solid choice. It's pretty easy to switch from trimming to edging with this tool, and that's a big win for keeping everything tidy without much hassle.
The manufacturer highlights it as having a 40V MAX* lithium-ion battery, which means it should give you a good amount of power for both tasks. This makes the whole lawn or garden maintenance thing a lot less stressful.
One cool feature is its 2-in-1 design, which lets you quickly flip between trimmer and edger modes. It really helps if you want to keep your walkways or garden borders looking sharp.
Our research suggests that folks find the POWERCOMMAND dial pretty handy. It gives you the option to choose between more power for tough spots or a longer runtime when you've got a bigger job on your hands.
People generally say it's powerful yet lightweight, which is great if you don't want to lug around heavy equipment. But just a heads-up, some have noticed that the auto-feed system might use up more string than you expect, so you might need to replace it more often.
Battery life is something to think about too. While it's designed for longer use, cranking up the power does drain it faster. Having an extra battery could be a lifesaver if you're working in a larger yard.
Overall, the LST136 gets the thumbs up for being easy to use and effective. It's cordless, which means you won’t be wrestling with any cables or having to start up a gas engine.
So, if you’re looking for something straightforward for edging, this might just fit the bill.
