So, the Amazon Basics Perforated Bubble Cushioning Wrap is supposed to be perforated every 12 inches, which is meant to help you easily tear off the length you need. This is what the manufacturer says.
But, according to our research, these perforations don't always do their job. Some folks have noticed that they can be tricky to spot and not very effective.
Many people have found themselves reaching for scissors because the wrap doesn't tear nicely at those perforation marks. This seems to be a common gripe, with some noting that the perforations aren't quite deep enough, making it a bit of a hassle to get a clean tear.
Even with this issue, a lot of folks still find the Amazon Basics Bubble Cushioning Wrap useful for its main job—protecting stuff during shipping, moving, or storing. From what we've gathered, it's quite good at handling fragile or oddly shaped items.
Someone even mentioned that it's been great for wrapping dishes and other delicate things. Plus, when it comes to cost, a lot of people see it as a budget-friendly choice despite the perforation hiccup.
A few others have pointed out concerns about the quality, like how firm or 'airy' the bubbles are, which could affect its protective qualities. But for less critical items or if you use more of it, it seems to do the trick.
So, if you really need those clean, perforated tears, keeping a pair of scissors on hand might be a good idea. Despite some minor issues, it's still a popular choice if you need cushioning wrap without breaking the bank.
