The Signature Fitness exercise equipment mat is about a quarter-inch thick. Specifically, the 30" x 60" variant (which is 2.5 x 5 feet) is designed to protect your floors from the wear and tear of heavy equipment like treadmills and stationary bikes.
From what we've found, a lot of people really like this mat for its sturdy build and how reliably it performs. It doesn't just act as a barrier between your equipment and the floor; it also provides a stable, non-slip base thanks to its textured underside.
One person even mentioned it "does the job" when it comes to protection and convenience, and it's nice that you can easily roll it up and move it if needed.
Some folks have mentioned an initial strong chemical smell when they first got the mat. This can be a bit off-putting at the start, but it seems to go away after some time. If you're particularly sensitive, you might want to air it out a bit before you use it in your workout space.
Even with the smell issue, the mat generally gets a thumbs-up for how well it cushions and protects floors. It's a good pick for your home gym setup, according to what we've found, without breaking the bank.
