The Gorilla 150' Aluminum Zero-Rust Upright Hose Reel is made to hold up to 150 feet of a standard 5/8-inch garden hose. That's what the manufacturer mentions. It's a good pick if you need to organize longer hoses without hassle.
The reel itself weighs about 18 pounds and has a solid anodized aluminum frame with brass fittings. It's designed to resist rust, which makes it a good option for leaving outside through different weather.
Plus, its compact size, roughly 16.9 x 20.4 x 17.2 inches, doesn’t hog much space, so it's easier to fit in cramped garden areas.
Just keep in mind that this hose reel is manual, meaning you'll need to wind and unwind the hose by hand. There isn't a fancy retractable feature here. But some folks actually prefer the hands-on approach because it's straightforward.
From our data, folks like how the hose aligns smoothly without tangling, thanks to the design.
Assembly might take a little patience. A few people mentioned the parts need careful alignment, but overall, getting it set up isn’t too difficult. Spending a bit of extra time at the start could pay off for its durability and ease of use once you have it all together.
So, if you’re after a reliable hose reel that’s built to last and can handle a long hose, this might be just what you need. It’s sturdy and manual, which, once you get the hang of, can be quite user-friendly.
