The HP 61XL Black Ink Cartridge is pretty popular for several HP printer models because it offers a decent amount of printing compared to regular cartridges. The manufacturer says it can handle up to 480 pages before needing a replacement, which is about double what you'd get from a standard cartridge.
It's compatible with quite a few HP printers, including models in the DeskJet, ENVY, and OfficeJet series. Some of the specific models it works with are the HP DeskJet 1000, HP DeskJet 1050, HP DeskJet 2540, HP ENVY 4500, and OfficeJet 4630, among others.
From what we've seen, most folks are happy with how easy it is to install and the quality of prints when it works as expected. However, some people have reported receiving cartridges that either seem empty or don't last as long as they should. This might be due to quality control issues or even counterfeit cartridges floating around.
The reviews speak for themselves—it's got a pretty decent score of 4.7 out of 5 stars based on nearly 24,000 reviews on Amazon.
But just a heads-up, it's a good idea to buy from well-known sellers or directly from HP to dodge any issues with fakes or defective units. Keep an eye out for reputable vendors, and you should have a smooth-sailing experience with lots of printing.
