The Hessaire MC61M Evaporative Cooler can get a bit noisy, making approximately 63 decibels, similar to the sound of a normal conversation. According to our research, most folks find this noise level manageable, and it doesn’t get overpowering even on the highest fan setting, which means you can still chat with friends without too much noise distraction.
That said, you might notice the sound more in quieter settings because of the fan and water noise. So, if you're using it indoors, it’s something to consider. The cooler has a high-velocity fan that’s key for its cooling power. While this adds to the noise, it’s necessary for cooling larger spaces effectively.
For spaces like patios or areas indoors with good airflow, the noise isn’t usually a big deal, especially when weighed against how well it cools. Our research suggests it's best to use it in areas where windows or doors can stay open. This not only makes the cooling more effective but also keeps humidity levels in check.
Based on what we found, there’s a bit of a trade-off. Some find the noise at higher settings a bit much, but many still appreciate the cooler temperatures it brings. Generally, this level of noise is par for the course with big evaporative coolers, and for a lot of people, it's worth it for the cooler air.
If you're planning to use it in places with high humidity, proper ventilation is key. Setting it up in the right spot and keeping windows open can help minimize the noise while boosting performance.
Overall, its noise is part of its design meant to deliver good cooling, especially for spots like garages, workshops, or outdoor areas.
