The Kona Best Pellet Smoker Tube is pretty handy for getting that smoky taste into your grilled food. It's made from tough 304 stainless steel, is 12 inches long, and is designed to work on different types of grills like wood pellet, electric, and gas. So, it's flexible with whatever setup you're using.
As for how long it smokes, which is what you're really after, this tube can keep the smoke going for around 4 to 5 hours when you fill it with premium wood pellets. This makes it good for both hot and cold smoking, especially if you're planning to smoke something for a long time. According to the manufacturer, the diamond-shaped air inlets help make sure the pellets burn evenly and consistently.
From what we've gathered, a lot of folks have pointed out that it gives a nice, strong smoky flavor. Someone even mentioned using it on a gas grill to smoke wings and tenderloins. Usually, people find it easy to use and say it puts out impressive amounts of smoke, so even if you're new to smoking, you can still get great results.
A few people did mention having trouble keeping the tube lit, especially if it’s windy. Some tips to help with this are making sure the pellets are dry and using a strong flame to ignite the pellets, like a blowtorch. It's not always super straightforward – you'll probably need to play around a bit to get the right amount of pellets for different smoking times.
Overall, the Kona Best Pellet Smoker Tube seems to be a solid choice if you want to add some reliable smokiness to your BBQ. There might be a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it could be a great addition to your grilling gear.
