When it comes to how long the Breville IQ Kettle BKE820XL might last, it seems like it can really vary based on a few factors. Our research shows that the kettle has some pretty handy features, like a beep alert when your water's ready, which many people appreciate for being less jarring than a typical whistling kettle.
Over time, though, a few folks have mentioned that the beep function and some other electrical parts start acting up after lots of use. Specifically, there have been reports of the controls becoming less reliable, and the beep might not be as consistent, especially if you're using it a lot.
That said, plenty of people are still pretty happy with how it performs, particularly when it comes to quickly boiling water and maintaining precise temperatures, which is a big deal if you're a fan of making tea or coffee at just the right heat.
In terms of how long it lasts, it's a bit like other appliances - the more care you put in, the better it'll fare. Keeping an eye on the beep function and doing regular maintenance could stretch its lifespan. So, if you notice anything funky with the beeps, giving it a check might be a good move.
Overall, the Breville IQ Kettle is generally seen as pretty solid, but just be aware of the potential for some wear and tear on the electric bits over time.
With the right upkeep, it should keep your drinks coming at just the right temperature for quite a while.
