Hey! So, the Google Nest Cam with Floodlight doesn't actually have a battery. It's a wired device, so you just plug it in and it runs on your home power.
This means you don't need to worry about recharging or replacing batteries—definitely one less thing to hassle with. As long as it’s plugged in, you've got continuous monitoring without any interruptions.
If you're curious about other features, the Google Home app lets you set up to four Activity Zones per camera. According to our research, these zones help you focus on specific areas and reduce false alarms.
You can even tweak settings for people, animals, and vehicles to make your security monitoring more effective.
Just a heads-up, though—some folks have mentioned that you'll need to adjust the software's sensitivity settings to get it just right, and there can be a bit of lag in the app sometimes.
Also, some advanced features like Familiar Faces require a Nest Aware subscription.
But overall, plug it in, set your zones, and you should be good to go!
