Cooking hot dogs in the Elite Gourmet EHD-051B is pretty quick, generally taking about 7 to 10 minutes. Our research shows that the time can change a bit depending on how well-done you like your hot dogs or their size.
The Elite Gourmet is often praised for grilling hot dogs evenly and efficiently, which makes it handy for quick snacks or casual gatherings. However, one thing to watch out for is the drip tray. Some people have found issues with it not staying in place properly, sometimes causing grease to spill if the tray isn't aligned right. It seems that the tray might be a bit small or the brackets a tad short, causing some instability.
Despite this, many still find the overall performance of the toaster oven worth it for how well it grills. If the drip tray continues to be an issue, you might want to reach out to Elite Gourmet’s customer service since there might be solutions or replacements available.
Some folks found a simple fix by slightly adjusting the tray or its brackets for a better fit, though it's not a surefire solution.
All in all, the Elite Gourmet EHD-051B is a convenient option for cooking hot dogs, especially if you're looking for something quick and easy. That short cooking time is perfect when you need a fast meal.
