The longevity of the Tenare Universal Typewriter Ribbon Twin Spool Replacement Pack isn't black and white—it really depends on how you use them. On average, these ribbons seem to run shorter than original typewriter ribbons, which might not be ideal if you're someone who does a lot of typing.

Our research shows that people using typewriters like the Royal Quiet De Luxe have mentioned they don't last as long as they'd hoped, mostly because they're not as long as the originals. If your typewriter doesn't have an auto-reverse feature, you might find yourself swapping these out more often.

Some folks have found that these ribbons fit well and do their job, but the shorter length can be a bit of a downside if you're used to having longer ribbons and less frequent changes.

They're pretty affordable, though, so they could work well for display purposes or light, occasional use.

A tip for those who don’t mind a bit of DIY: you could try transferring the new ribbon onto your old spools. If your typewriter allows it, this could help make the fit better and be more practical for regular writing.

But if you're after something that's durable for lots of typing, looking into other options with longer ribbons might be worth it.

Bottom line, make sure to double-check the dimensions and specs before you buy to see if they fit your typewriter model's needs. Balancing between how long they'll last and what you want to spend can help you find the right ribbon for your typing habits.
