8MP 4K HDR sensor. Huge upgrade from typical 720p and 1080p laptop cameras. Same resolution class as MacBook Pro 14.

What you notice:

In normal lighting, you look sharp. Colors are accurate. HDR helps with bright windows behind you.

Low light is where it shines: Most laptop webcams fall apart in dim rooms. The XPS 14 handles low light surprisingly well. Early morning calls before opening curtains? Actually usable.

Do you need an external webcam?

For video calls and meetings? No. The built-in camera is good enough.
