Hey! So about the Cuisinart CGG-888 Griddle—it's not a bad choice for getting things nice and toasty. It runs on propane and has two separate burners that together crank out 30,000 BTUs. That's quite a bit of heat, so you're all set for cooking a variety of foods according to the manufacturer's product description.
The dual burners are nice because they let you tweak the heat in different spots, which is super handy if you're cooking a bunch of stuff at once. But heads up—our research found that there might be some uneven heating, with spots that are hotter or cooler. It might take a little practice to get the hang of it.
Oh, and remember, this griddle doesn't come with a propane tank. You'll need a standard 20-pound tank to get started. Make sure you store it right, especially if your weather's on the intense side.
And about maintenance, you should definitely season the griddle before using it. The manufacturer and some folks who've tried it out recommend using a high smoke point oil, like avocado or linseed, to coat the surface.
It keeps the rust away and makes cleanup easier. It's also a good idea to regularly reseason it to keep everything in tip-top shape.
Hope that helps! Enjoy griddling!
