Hey! If you're dealing with bullseye chips on your windshield, the Permatex 09103 Windshield Repair Kit could be pretty useful. From what we've found, it's specifically meant for bullseye and star-shaped chips. It's not going to do much for linear cracks, though. The manufacturer says it can handle bullseye damage up to 1 1/4 inches in diameter on most laminated windshield glass, using a mix of vacuum and pressure-based resin injection to fill in and stabilize the damage.
A lot of folks seem happy with it, saying it's good at making bullseye chips less noticeable and stops them from getting worse. Just be sure to follow the instructions closely—it seems to help a lot with the repair process.
That said, the feedback isn't all positive. Some people have said they're not totally satisfied, particularly with linear cracks. If that's what you've got, you might need a different kit or even professional help.
So, if you're dealing with a bullseye chip, this kit could be a solid choice that reduces how noticeable the chip is and helps protect the glass around it. Just keep in mind that for linear cracks, you'll probably need something else. If you're unsure about the type of damage, talking to a pro might be the way to go.
It's a good idea to match what this kit offers with the damage you've got to make sure it fits your needs.
All in all, most people and the manufacturer's info suggest it's great for bullseye chips, but not the catch-all solution for every windshield issue.
