The Grit Guard bucket insert is pretty important in the Jay Leno's Garage "Essential Detailing Bucket Kit." Based on our research, it's designed to help prevent swirls and scratches on your car's finish during washing. It traps grit and debris at the bottom of the bucket, so your cleaning gear doesn't pick up any of that nasty stuff which might mess up your car's paint.

The manufacturer claims it's a great addition if you're serious about keeping your car's paint looking good, and our research backs that up. Lots of people seem happy with how it performs, saying it's a vital part of the kit because it promotes safer washing habits—especially if you're really into detailing your car.

Now, the kit also includes microfiber towels, applicators, wash mitts, and spray bottles.

The Grit Guard itself gets good feedback, but our research found some mixed opinions about the spray bottles; some people think they don't dispense chemicals very efficiently. A few folks mentioned switching to better-quality spray bottles if you rely heavily on them for your detailing routine.

Overall, the kit helps you keep up a pretty effective detailing process while preventing scratches and marks. If you're worried about the spray bottles affecting your experience, maybe check with Jay Leno’s Garage to see if they've updated them based on customer feedback or peek at recent reviews for any updates.

But generally, if you want to avoid messing up the paint while washing, the Grit Guard insert is a solid choice.
