The Hoover SmartWash+ Carpet Cleaner is built to make cleaning your carpets a lot easier. It has this really neat feature called Auto Mix, meaning it automatically mixes the cleaning solution for you, so you don't have to worry about adding the right amount yourself.

According to the manufacturer's description, running a rinse cycle is simple too. You just take out the detergent container, and the cleaner uses just water from the clean water tank to rinse any leftover detergent from the carpet.

Our research shows many people like the separate tanks for clean water and cleaning solution. It makes switching between washing and rinsing really straightforward. This way, you can be sure your carpet's not left with any soap residue, which could attract more dirt later.

There's also a 'Dry Only' button that helps suck up extra water and speeds up the drying.

Now, not everyone loves the Auto Mix feature. A few folks wish they had more control over how much detergent is used, especially on really dirty spots. If that's a concern, you might end up doing a bit more manual rinsing by removing the detergent tank.

Like with any new gadget, getting comfortable with the SmartWash+ might take a bit of time. But once you get used to it, it generally works pretty smoothly, even if you're used to doing things the old-fashioned way.

While there's a bit of a learning curve, most people find it does a good job at cleaning and rinsing once they're familiar with it. Overall, it strikes a balance between ease of use and effective cleaning.
