Wondering how the OLED screen stacks up against the original Switch screen? The Nintendo Switch OLED has a 7-inch OLED display, which is a jump from the original Switch’s 6.2-inch LCD screen. This means you get more vivid colors, deeper blacks, and better contrast, making your games look a lot more immersive, especially when playing in handheld mode.

Based on our research, people often talk about how much they love the OLED screen’s superior visuals. It’s not just about the colors popping more; the OLED display also makes it easier to see in different lighting conditions, whether you're outdoors or inside the house.

The manufacturer also mentions improved audio quality with the OLED model, which adds another level of immersion while playing in handheld or tabletop mode. This is especially important since many folks enjoy using the Switch this way for its convenience.

Besides just the screen, the OLED version is a bit more robust in design, making it a bit tougher for those who like to travel with their console. The wider, adjustable stand is a nice addition too, since it makes setting the console up on the fly much easier.

So, if picture and sound quality are high on your list, the Nintendo Switch OLED may be worth considering. It really gives the visuals an oomph that the original screen can’t quite provide. Just keep in mind the games stay the same—they’re sold separately—so planning ahead might be smart if you’re thinking of this as a gift or for a special occasion.

Overall, if you play a lot in handheld mode and those visual and audio boosts sound appealing, the OLED version might be right up your alley. It’s these upgrades that seem to win over a lot of Nintendo fans.
