Cleaning the Ellie's Best Pro Quality Nut Milk Bag is fairly simple, and there are a few ways to keep it in good shape. According to the manufacturer, you can safely toss it in the dishwasher. Just be a bit careful with how you place it to avoid any problems.
Since it's made from durable nylon mesh, it usually handles the dishwasher's heat well. But based on what we've found, it's best to position the bag in a way that keeps the drawstring away from the heating element. This helps prevent any chance of melting or damage.
If you really want to make the bag last, hand washing it and letting it air dry is the way to go. Even though it's got strong triple nylon seams, frequent high heat can cause it to shrink or stiffen slightly over time. That's something a few experienced users have pointed out in our research.
When you've used the bag with stickier or greasier stuff—like making butter or straining yogurt—using the dishwasher can be super helpful, especially if hand washing seems like a hassle. But maybe save the dishwasher for occasional deeper cleans.
For everyday use, like making nut milk or juicing, a quick hand wash is the go-to method for many. It's easy and gentle enough to keep the bag's shape and performance intact.
Just rinse it well with warm water and a little dish soap, then hang it to dry. This simple routine will keep the bag clean and ready for your next culinary adventure, while also prolonging its life.
By keeping these tips in mind, your nut milk bag should stay durable and serve you well for all sorts of kitchen creations.
