Hey! So, if you're wondering about how deep the Makita LXPK01Z 18V LXT® Cordless Planer can cut, it can slice up to 5/32" deep in a single pass—that's about 4mm, according to the manufacturer's description. Pretty solid for a cordless planer!

Just a heads up, it uses an 18V Makita LXT battery. If you’ve already got other Makita tools, you're in luck because you can use the same batteries.

But if not, you'll need to grab one separately.

It's a lightweight tool, around 7.4 pounds, so it's quite manageable to handle, especially during longer jobs. You might want to keep an eye on battery life, though.

We're seeing about 10-15 minutes of continuous use per charge. So, if you're in it for a long haul, having some extra batteries charged up might be a good call.

Something to keep in mind is that it doesn't feature an LED light or a battery level indicator, so you might need to stay aware of your battery use during projects to avoid surprise power outs.

Hope that gives you a clear idea of what to expect with the Makita planer. It's a nifty tool if it fits your needs.

Happy planing!
