The Philips SmartSleep Wake-Up Light HF3520/60 is designed to brighten your mornings—literally. It uses a sunrise simulation that gradually transitions from a soft red to a bright white light, helping you wake up more gently. According to the manufacturer, you can set this gradual increase in light to start anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes before your alarm goes off, so you can customize it to your liking.
Based on our data, a lot of people find it particularly useful during dark winter months when waking up to natural sunlight isn’t an option.
However, some have mentioned that the buttons can be a bit tricky to find in the dark, and there are occasional reports of the light's effectiveness declining over time, which raises some concerns about how long it will last.
Overall, if you're looking for a gentler way to wake up, especially during those darker months, the Philips SmartSleep lamp could be a good fit.
Just make sure to place it somewhere it can effectively light up the room when you wake up.
