The Cuisinart CPK-17 PerfecTemp kettle is pretty popular for its quick heating and six preset temperature options, which really come in handy for making different types of teas and coffees. According to the manufacturer's description, it has a powerful 1500-watt heating element that usually gets the water boiling in a few minutes, and our research often highlights this speedy performance.

When it comes to temperature accuracy, the feedback is a bit mixed. From what we've found, some people have noticed that the actual water temperature doesn't always match the preset ones, which might be something to think about if you're particular about your brew temperatures.

Also, if you're considering getting a refurbished unit, just a heads up—our research suggests some folks weren't too happy with them. They've reported issues like the kettle not heating properly or having physical defects, such as leaks. This could be due to differences in refurbishment processes.

But on the bright side, buying a refurbished model from Amazon comes with the Renewed Guarantee, so you can get a replacement or refund if it doesn't meet your expectations.

On a positive note, the kettle's features like temperature control and the keep-warm function, which maintains the set temperature for about 30 minutes, are well-liked. Plus, it has a memory feature that lets the heating resume if you lift the kettle off its base, which users find really convenient.

So, if you're considering the Cuisinart CPK-17 for its multiple temperature settings and ease of use, just balance these perks with the possible temperature accuracy issues and any concerns about buying a refurbished model.
