Hey, about the Klein Tools 11055 wire stripper, there's been a mixed bag of feedback recently regarding its quality control. The tool is generally praised for its effectiveness and sturdy design—people really like how ergonomic it feels and how well it tackles wire stripping and cutting when it arrives in good condition.
That said, some folks have noticed issues like the tool arriving in less-than-ideal packaging. Sometimes, it shows up in a bubble mailer rather than its original box, leading to concerns about whether it's genuinely new or potentially used. A few arrived with signs of wear—like grease or dirt—which isn't what you want when expecting a new item.
On the functionality side, there have been some reports of misaligned blades, which can affect how well it works. Given Klein Tools' reputation for quality, these issues are understandably frustrating for those affected.
Despite these hiccups, it’s still a popular choice that usually delivers solid performance.
If you’re buying it online, especially on sites like Amazon, it might help to double-check the seller's reputation and ensure that the item will come in its original packaging. That can give you a bit more confidence that you're getting a new, authentic product.
If you do run into any problems, reaching out to Klein Tools' customer service could be worthwhile. They're known for being responsive and should be able to help with any quality concerns you might have.
