So, if you're checking out the Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller and wondering about back paddles, it doesn't come with them by default. The idea behind this version is to offer a solid, premium controller without some of the extra customizable bits, like the paddles, to keep it more affordable.
The good news is that even without the paddles, it still packs great features. You get things like a textured grip, adjustable-tension thumbsticks, and hair-trigger locks, which gamers often praise for enhancing precision during gameplay.
Plus, it connects really well with lots of devices through Bluetooth, Xbox Wireless, or a USB-C cable.
According to our research, people generally find it super easy to pair with different platforms, including iOS devices, and report smooth performance if you keep your Bluetooth updated. Just a heads-up: there have been mentions of some button durability issues over time, so that's something to consider if you're planning on long gaming sessions.
Overall, it's a great pick if you're looking for a high-end feel without all the extras. You can always add accessories like the back paddles later if you decide you need them.
