Yep, the iFixit Mako Driver Kit does come with a lifetime warranty, which is a nice touch if you're concerned about durability. iFixit really seems to stand by the quality of their tools.
According to them, the 64 precision bits in the kit are made from S2 steel, known for being pretty tough and hard to wear out. This makes the kit a solid choice for anyone fixing up electronics and gadgets.
Based on our research, most folks are happy with how the kit performs, even after lots of use. The variety of bits is handy too, covering some of those more unusual screw types you might come across.
However, it's not all perfect. There are a few mentions of bits breaking or chipping, particularly if you're working with high torque or dealing with really stubborn screws. Some people noticed wear on the chrome plating, too, which can be a bit of a headache when working with super tiny screws.
That said, these issues seem to be outliers rather than the norm.
The good news is if you do have a problem, iFixit's customer service is known to be pretty responsive. They'll likely get you a replacement bit quickly enough if something breaks, which is reassuring.
All in all, people seem to really appreciate the durability and range this kit offers. Knowing iFixit has your back with a solid warranty and good customer service is definitely a plus, whether you're just tinkering around or doing some serious electronics repairs.
