Yep, the Google Nest Doorbell (Wired, 2nd Gen) works with Alexa.

Basically, you can connect it to your smart home setup with Alexa as your assistant, so you'll get doorbell notifications on your Alexa devices.

From what we've found, this doorbell is pretty clever with its alerts. It can tell the difference between people, packages, animals, and vehicles, so you can choose what kind of notifications you want, and you don't need a subscription for that.

The manufacturer mentions that these smart alerts come right to your smartphone.

You'll need the Google Home app to get the full experience. It ensures you receive real-time alerts—whether someone rings the bell or there's motion in certain areas you've set up.

People often say in our research that the notifications are super prompt, thanks to Google's robust system.

An interesting bit is that many of these alerts are processed right on the device instead of in the cloud, making them faster with less lag.

Still, a stable internet connection is necessary for some features.

If you're looking for more advanced features, like recognizing familiar faces, you'll need a Nest Aware subscription.

That's handy if you want to keep track of who’s arriving or if you want info on regular visitors.

Linking your Nest Doorbell with Alexa can enhance your smart home setup with timely and convenient alerts, so it's a good option if that’s what you’re after.
