Hey, if you're looking into the COSMO COS-5MU30 range hood and wondering about the carbon filters for ductless installation, here's the scoop.
According to our research, this model can definitely be set up for ductless use, but it doesn't come with the carbon filters you need out of the box. You'll have to get the Carbon Filter Kit, Part # CFK4, separately.
The manufacturer's description mentions that the ductless option is super handy for kitchens where you can't vent to the outside. This setup helps with circulating and managing cooking odors and fumes, but the fact that the filters aren't included can be a bit of a surprise.
Our research shows that a lot of folks have pointed this out, and it can be disappointing if you don't know beforehand.
On a positive note, having the ductless option gives you a lot of flexibility. It works well for apartments or any kitchen layout where traditional venting is a no-go. Yes, buying the filter separately can be annoying, but many people like having the choice for this kind of setup.
Just a heads up—make sure to get the right filter part. We found that some people have run into issues with figuring out which model fits, sometimes due to old or confusing product info.
So double-check that the CFK4 kit is the right one for your range hood to keep things smooth.
All in all, the COSMO COS-5MU30 is a solid choice if you're after something efficient that fits your space's needs. Be sure to plan for the separate filter kit purchase and verify those product details to make your experience as trouble-free as possible.
