Yep, the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM does have G-Sync, which is meant to make your gaming look smooth by syncing the monitor’s refresh rate with your NVIDIA graphics card's frame rate.
But, something to keep an eye on—our research mentions some issues with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) flicker. This flicker tends to pop up during certain situations, like when a game's screen is loading or when frame rates change a lot. It’s more about how the monitor deals with timing inconsistencies than just the frame rate itself. So, if the frame times are all over the place, you might see some flickering.
A few practical solutions folks have found include capping the frame rate to stabilize those frame times, which can help cut down on the flicker. Adjusting graphics settings or upgrading your graphics gear might help too.
Some people have chosen to turn VRR off completely to avoid flicker entirely, but that might take away from the silky-smooth visuals G-Sync provides. In the end, whether you keep VRR on is really up to what you prefer and what kind of games you're playing.
All in all, while the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM gets props for its clear and vibrant OLED display, you might want to think about how to tackle potential flicker if you’re eyeing this monitor.
Getting your setup just right could make for a really smooth gaming experience.
