The Apple Studio Display has a lot going for it, especially if you're into Apple's ecosystem. The 27-inch 5K Retina display looks amazing with vibrant colors, perfect for photo editing or graphic design work. It gets really bright too—up to 600 nits—which means you won't struggle with glare even in well-lit rooms.
But, about the refresh rate, it's important to know that it has a standard 60Hz refresh rate. So, if you're into gaming or need super smooth motion for other tasks, this might feel a bit limiting compared to monitors that offer higher refresh rates like 120Hz.
The design is sleek with an aluminum chassis and edge-to-edge glass, fitting right into any Apple setup, especially if you're using a MacBook. It even has a built-in 12MP ultra-wide camera and a six-speaker sound system which is cool for video calls and watching videos.
One thing though, the default stand only tilts and doesn't adjust for height, which some people find annoying. There's a height-adjustable version, but it costs extra.
Based on our research, most folks love its color accuracy and stunning resolution, though a few have mentioned some issues like buzzing noises or minor mechanical problems soon after buying it, so that's something to consider in terms of long-term reliability.
In short, if you need a top-notch display that looks great and fits seamlessly with Apple gear, the Apple Studio Display is a solid pick. Just keep in mind the 60Hz refresh rate if that's a key factor for you.
