The IAMS Proactive Health Indoor Weight Control & Hairball Care cat food is designed with a special blend of fibers, like beet pulp, to help tackle hairballs in indoor cats. The manufacturer says this formula is intended to stop hairballs from forming, which could be a relief for both you and your cat.

From what we've found, this cat food doesn't just focus on hairball control. It also includes L-carnitine, which supports metabolism and helps with fat burning. This can be quite helpful for indoor cats who might put on a little extra weight.

According to our research, many cat owners have noticed this food is pretty effective with hairballs and also helps with weight management. Some have seen improvements in their cat's fur, reporting it looks shinier and cleaner, which might help in reducing hairballs. Plus, it seems like most cats tend to like the taste, making it easier to switch to this formula.

But, there's a couple of things to keep in mind. The bag isn't resealable, which some folks find annoying because it can affect freshness. And while many cats enjoy it, some picky eaters might need a bit of time to warm up to it.

Overall, it's a solid option for dealing with hairballs and managing weight, but definitely consider what works for your particular cat.

It might be smart to start with a smaller bag to see how your cat likes it. And always make sure your cat has plenty of fresh water and that you’re keeping the food fresh and nutritious.
