So, according to what we've found, the YOYOFORMULA Polyester Yo-Yo Strings in Yellow don't come with built-in glow-in-the-dark features, that's straight from the manufacturer's info. They’re made from polyester, which is great because it's tough and perfect for yo-yo tricks. But the company doesn't say these strings will glow on their own.
That said, there’s a little twist. Some folks have noticed that these strings seem to give off a glow when they're under a blacklight. It's not their main purpose, but you might catch a cool glowing effect if you're playing around with a blacklight.
If you're on the hunt for strings that glow in the dark all by themselves, you’d probably want ones that are labeled as glow-in-the-dark strings.
But the bright yellow color of these strings is pretty striking and helps a lot with tracking them while you play, even if they don’t glow.
If you're into making your yo-yo tricks pop visually, maybe for a video or a show, trying them out with a blacklight could be fun based on what some users say. It's kind of a compromise if you don't want to switch strings entirely.
However, if having that glow is a must-have for you, you might want to look at strings that are specifically made to light up in the dark. Those would probably meet your needs better if you really want those eye-catching effects.
