So, the Wakashishi Bonsai scissors measuring 180mm have sparked a bit of curiosity about their origin since they don't come with a 'Made in Japan' stamp right on the scissors. But don't worry too much about that. The packaging does say they're made in Japan, which should help clear up any doubts.

About rusting—these scissors are crafted from high-quality Japanese carbon steel. This type of steel is known for being super sharp and keeping its edge for a long time, which is great for detailed work.

But a heads up: carbon steel can rust if you don't take care of it properly, especially compared to stainless steel. To keep them in good shape, you'll need to dry them well after they get wet and maybe give them a light oiling now and then.

Our research shows that a lot of folks out there really value these scissors for how sharp and durable they are. Japanese-made tools, especially those for precision tasks like bonsai work, have a great reputation.

So, even though some people might initially wonder about the missing 'Made in Japan' mark, most agree that these scissors deliver the quality you'd expect.

If you appreciate their craftsmanship and don't mind a bit of upkeep to prevent rust, the Wakashishi Bonsai scissors could be a solid pick.

However, if that missing 'Made in Japan' stamp is super important for your decision, you might want to check out other options too.

But for practical use and quality, they seem to be a reliable choice.
