The Marbelous 68 oz glass mason jars, which come in a set of three, are described by the manufacturer as having an airtight seal thanks to a glass lid with a rubber gasket. This makes them sound pretty handy for storing a range of household items. But, let's chat about using them for liquids specifically.

According to our research, feedback on using these jars for liquids is a bit of a mixed bag. While they're great for dry goods like cereals, grains, and spices—they do a solid job in keeping these fresh when stored—there are some hiccups when it comes to liquids. We found that a number of folks have experienced issues with leaks, especially when the jars are tilted or filled with liquids. Comments like "These jars are NOT airtight. They leaked on first use" make it clear that this is a common concern.

There's also some chatter about potential issues with the durability of the jars’ clasps or hinges, which might lead to a weaker seal over time. This means the airtight feature might not hold up as reliably as you'd hope, especially for liquid storage.

Some people, however, have managed to make them work just fine by ensuring the lid is secured in a particular way. If you're considering these jars primarily for liquids, it might be worth giving them a shot and testing the seal yourself to see if it meets your needs.

If you're mostly looking to store dry goods, these jars could be a great fit and add a nice touch to your kitchen decor with their clear glass design.

But if your priority is storing liquids securely, you might want to look into alternative options like screw-on lid jars or extra gaskets, which some people have found helpful. Trying a different product with a solid track record for liquid retention could end up being the better bet.
