TLDR Review: Fujifilm XF56mm f/1.2 R
Score
The Fujinon XF56mmF1.2 R lens garners a high score due to its exceptional image quality and beautiful bokeh, making it a favorite among portrait photographers. However, it faces criticism for slow autofocus and some ergonomic issues that can affect usability, particularly in dynamic shooting environments. Overall, while it delivers outstanding sharpness and low-light performance, its premium price point and autofocus challenges may lead some users to consider alternatives.

- •Maximum magnification of 0.09x limits macro or closp capabilities.
- •Released in 2014, so might lack some of the latest features found in newer lenses.
- •Heavy compared to other prime lenses in this focal length range.
Bottom Line
The Fujinon XF56mmF1.2 R is an exceptional portrait lens with superior sharpness, outstanding bokeh, and great build quality, making it a worthwhile investment for professional photographers.
