TLDR Review: Anova Vacuum Sealer Pro
Verdict
The Anova Culinary Precision Vacuum Sealer Pro is a versatile and reliable device, perfect for those who enjoy sous vide cooking or need efficient food storage solutions. Its ease of use, strong sealing performance, and convenient features like built-in bag storage and a cutter make it a great choice for both home cooks and professionals. However, be prepared for its slightly higher price point and ensure good lighting conditions for optimal use.
- Top pro:
- Strong suction power ensures effective vacuum sealing.
- Top con:
- Lacks support for operating in complete darkness without additional smart lights.
Score
The Anova Culinary Precision Vacuum Sealer Pro receives a moderate score, praised for its effective vacuum sealing, impressive suction power, and convenient double-sealing feature, which is well-received by both professional and customer reviewers. However, it faces criticism for inconsistent performance, particularly with wet foods, and a less effective bag cutter, which can complicate usability and lead to cleanup issues. Overall, its quality justifies its price for many users, especially those focused on sous vide cooking, but potential buyers should weigh the wet sealing limitations against its strengths.
