The non-stick coating on the GOTHAM STEEL 15 Pc Ceramic Pots and Pans Set comes across as fairly durable if you take proper care of it. The manufacturer describes the set as dishwasher safe and easy to clean, which is handy when you're busy. They also mention that the ceramic coating is stain and scratch-resistant, aimed at preventing food from sticking, which makes cleanup a breeze.
But keep in mind, even though they say it’s dishwasher safe, constant use of the dishwasher might wear down the coating over time.
The pots and pans are ceramic and free from harsh chemicals like PFOA, PFOS, PTFE, lead, and cadmium, so they should be a safer option for cooking. The set is pretty complete, including frying pans, saucepans with lids, a stockpot with a lid and steamer, and some nylon kitchen utensils—great if you’re setting up your kitchen.
According to our research, a lot of folks are happy with how well the non-stick feature works. Many have found that food slides off with no trouble, making after-meal cleanup easier.
But there are some mixed feelings out there, too. A few people have mentioned that the coating might chip or change color if you use high heat or wash it in the dishwasher too often. To get the most life out of your cookware, sticking to medium or low heat and following care instructions from the manufacturer is a good idea.
Overall, the non-stick coating seems to hold up well for regular cooking, as long as you take care of it. While there are a few complaints, most feedback is positive, highlighting its user-friendliness in everyday cooking.
