If you're checking out what's different in NHL 25 compared to NHL 24, here's the scoop. NHL 25 officially launched on October 4, 2024, aligning with the start of the hockey season, and it's geared for next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5.
So, you can expect some cool upgrades in gameplay mechanics and graphics that take advantage of the new hardware.
From our research, it seems there's been a strong focus on giving visuals and AI mechanics a boost. Player models got some love with upgrades for more realistic gameplay, which is pretty exciting if you appreciate both the look and strategic play in the game.
That said, not everyone is thrilled. Some folks were expecting a big leap forward and feel like NHL 25 doesn't quite shake things up enough from NHL 24. A few were hoping for more groundbreaking features rather than just improvements on existing ones.
But, if you dig refined graphics and smarter AI, NHL 25 delivers a solid experience, building on what's been great about the earlier versions with the extra kick from next-gen consoles.
So, if you're undecided about upgrading, think about what you enjoy most. Are cutting-edge graphics and AI your thing, or are you craving brand-new gameplay elements? Figuring that out can help you decide if NHL 25 is up your alley.
Keeping an eye on updates from the manufacturer might also clue you in on any future changes that could fix current shortcomings.
