If you're curious about cooking rice with the Instant Pot Lux Mini 3 Qt, it's pretty straightforward. Based on our research, this little gadget is great for small spaces and makes rice cooking super easy.
For white rice, the Lux Mini's special rice function usually takes about 10 minutes to cook the rice at high pressure. But don't forget, it needs a bit of time to build up pressure first—that'll add around 5 to 10 minutes more.
Once it's done, it's a good idea to let the pressure release naturally for about 10 minutes. All in all, you're looking at roughly 25 to 30 minutes from start to finish for white rice.
If you're into brown rice, it's a bit longer. The cooking time at high pressure is about 20 to 22 minutes. Adding in the time for pressure build-up and release, you're looking at closer to 40 minutes total.
The Lux Mini is really handy for quick meals without hogging up your counter space. Although it doesn't have a slow cook option, it handles plenty of other tasks pretty well, like rice and porridge.
If you really want that slow cook feature, you might check out models like the Instant Pot Duo series, which have more cooking options.
But for a compact and efficient cooking experience, the Lux Mini is a solid choice, especially if you're all about saving time in the kitchen.
Enjoy your cooking adventures!
