# TLDR Review: Zilla Night Black Heat Bulb 150W *Published: 2025-02-11 | Updated: 2025-01-03 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/zilla-night-black-heat-bulb-150w* --- ## Verdict While the Zilla Reptile Terrarium Heat Lamp offers a gentle, suitable glow for reptile environments like Leopard Geckos, its notably short lifespan and frequent burnouts overshadow its benefits. It's crucial to consider if the potential need for frequent replacements aligns with your needs. You might want to explore other heat lamp options for better durability and longer-lasting performance. **Top pro:** Provides a nice, soft glow that isn't overly bright, which may be beneficial for certain environments. **Top con:** Lifespan was only a month and a half, which is disappointing compared to other bulbs that last around six months. ## Product: Zilla Night Black Heat Bulb 150W **Brand:** Zilla [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/zilla-night-black-heat-bulb-150w) ## Pros - Provides a nice, soft glow that isn't overly bright, which may be beneficial for certain environments. - Perfectly suits Leopard Geckos when used with a heat mat. - Minimal light output is beneficial for reptiles. ## Cons - Lifespan was only a month and a half, which is disappointing compared to other bulbs that last around six months. - Bulb failed to function after almost 2 months of use. - The product burned out within 4 hours of use. - Stopped working after just 10 nights of use. - Overall dissatisfaction leading to a rating of one star, which was the lowest available option. - Expressed disappointment with the longevity of the product for the price. - Suggests spending money on a different bulb instead. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Provides a nice, soft glow that isn't overly bright, which may be beneficial for certain environments. | Lifespan was only a month and a half, which is disappointing compared to other bulbs that last around six months. | | Perfectly suits Leopard Geckos when used with a heat mat. | Bulb failed to function after almost 2 months of use. | | Minimal light output is beneficial for reptiles. | The product burned out within 4 hours of use. | | | Stopped working after just 10 nights of use. | | | Overall dissatisfaction leading to a rating of one star, which was the lowest available option. | | | Expressed disappointment with the longevity of the product for the price. | | | Suggests spending money on a different bulb instead. | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2025-01-03;
