## Verdict

The TP-Link 16 Port Switch Gigabit is a solid choice for those needing a fanless, sturdy Ethernet switch with easy installation and strong performance. However, potential buyers should be aware of some reliability concerns, including the risk of it failing after extended use and compatibility issues with specific services like Starlink. Despite these drawbacks, its overall functionality and brand reputation make it a considerable option, albeit with an eye towards its long-term durability.

**Top pro:** Sturdy metal case providing durability and a reliable feel
**Top con:** Reports of constant on and off issues indicating stability problems
