# TLDR Review: TOTO S550E Bidet Seat *Published: 2025-02-14 | Updated: 2025-01-01 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/toto-s550e-bidet-seat* --- ## Verdict The TOTO SW3056#01 S550E Electronic Bidet Toilet Seat is a high-quality product that significantly improves comfort and hygiene, with standout features like adjustable spray, deodorizer, and quiet operation. However, the drying feature may not eliminate the need for toilet paper, and larger users might find it a tight fit. Despite these drawbacks, it's a worthwhile investment for those seeking advanced bathroom technology and eco-friendly features. Consider thoroughly testing upon receipt to ensure everything functions as expected. **Top pro:** Significant improvement in quality of life and environmentally friendly. **Top con:** Drying feature often requires additional toilet paper for complete drying. ## Product: TOTO S550E Bidet Seat **Brand:** TOTO [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/toto-s550e-bidet-seat) ## Pros - Significant improvement in quality of life and environmentally friendly. - Adjustable spray options for heat and pressure ensure effective cleaning. - Deodorizer works exceptionally well, eliminating odors. - Easy installation process, even for those with basic plumbing skills. - Enhanced user experience with a quiet operation. - Warm seat feature enhances comfort during nighttime use. - Soft nightlight aids navigation in low light. - Significant reduction in toilet paper usage, lasts 5x longer. - TOTO is recognized for its quality in bidet technology. - Auto-open and close features add convenience. ## Cons - Drying feature often requires additional toilet paper for complete drying. - The auto open feature may be problematic with curious pets. - Inadequate padding on one side can cause tilting and discomfort. - Misleading product description; lid does not auto close as advertised. - Dryer emits a strong odor, possibly irritating to sensitive users. - Stopped functioning after about 2 weeks without reason. - May not fit larger individuals comfortably, potentially tight for those over 6' and 220 pounds. - Initial setup and syncing of settings can be frustrating and time-consuming. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Significant improvement in quality of life and environmentally friendly. | Drying feature often requires additional toilet paper for complete drying. | | Adjustable spray options for heat and pressure ensure effective cleaning. | The auto open feature may be problematic with curious pets. | | Deodorizer works exceptionally well, eliminating odors. | Inadequate padding on one side can cause tilting and discomfort. | | Easy installation process, even for those with basic plumbing skills. | Misleading product description; lid does not auto close as advertised. | | Enhanced user experience with a quiet operation. | Dryer emits a strong odor, possibly irritating to sensitive users. | | Warm seat feature enhances comfort during nighttime use. | Stopped functioning after about 2 weeks without reason. | | Soft nightlight aids navigation in low light. | May not fit larger individuals comfortably, potentially tight for those over 6' and 220 pounds. | | Significant reduction in toilet paper usage, lasts 5x longer. | Initial setup and syncing of settings can be frustrating and time-consuming. | | TOTO is recognized for its quality in bidet technology. | | | Auto-open and close features add convenience. | | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, between 2025-01-01 and 2025-05-31; it may have changed since.* | Retailer | Price | Availability | Last seen | |----------|-------|-------------|-----------| | [Walmart](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/PIgmUzKEvU1X9Y8OxtwU/offers/yNwQI7RA10oNWx1vL0DA?source=shopsavvy&medium=article-review-tldr) | $783.38 | In Stock | 2025-05-31 (may have changed) | | [Houzz](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/PIgmUzKEvU1X9Y8OxtwU/offers/UP2yp9aVepH2LrX4Bufd?source=shopsavvy&medium=article-review-tldr) | $784.00 | In Stock | 2025-05-31 (may have changed) | | [AliExpress](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/PIgmUzKEvU1X9Y8OxtwU/offers/b42a7c5c-4e16-4095-c71d-6cde58228101?source=shopsavvy&medium=article-review-tldr) | $831.55 | In Stock | 2025-01-01 (may have changed) | | [Amazon](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/PIgmUzKEvU1X9Y8OxtwU/offers/39a462f5-6195-af64-1ede-579d4020ac79?source=shopsavvy&medium=article-review-tldr) | $991.53 | In Stock | 2025-05-31 (may have changed) | | [EverFlow Bidets](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/PIgmUzKEvU1X9Y8OxtwU/offers/xBWmXQfWnj4kHnueDZhA?source=shopsavvy&medium=article-review-tldr) | $1119.00 | In Stock | 2025-05-31 (may have changed) | | [BidetKing.com](https://shopsavvy.com/api/redirect/products/PIgmUzKEvU1X9Y8OxtwU/offers/ad657c55-3539-7d1a-7537-0ccde82dd4f2?source=shopsavvy&medium=article-review-tldr) | $1295.70 | In Stock | 2025-01-01 (may have changed) | [See every retailer and the full price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/toto-s550e-bidet-seat) --- *About this review: it summarizes the professional reviews and customer ratings ShopSavvy collected for this product, alongside prices from ShopSavvy's price data (each price shows when it was last seen).* *Machine-readable access: append `.md` to any ShopSavvy URL, or send `Accept: text/markdown`, to get this page as Markdown.
