## Verdict

While the Smartpond Waterfall Pump 2000gph has a history of reliability and effective performance, especially with older models, recent reviews indicate it may fall short in terms of noise control and power output. Consider your requirements carefully, as newer units may not live up to past expectations. Ensure to register for the warranty to guard against potential issues.

**Top pro:** Highly reliable with long-term usage, as evidenced by users having used the same model for eight years.
**Top con:** Newer pumps have noise issues, louder than the water feature itself.
