## Verdict

The Seagate Expansion Portable 5TB is a solid, dependable storage solution that gives you a massive amount of space in a portable package at a reasonable price. It's perfect if you want to back up or expand your storage without breaking the bank or fussing with complicated setups. However, if blazing-fast speeds are your priority or you want a more modern connection type, you might want to explore external SSDs or drives with USB-C. For a straightforward, reliable HDD that just works for Mac and PC users alike, this Seagate drive is a smart pick.

**Top pro:** Provides a substantial 5TB of storage, perfect for backing up large amounts of data including photos, videos, and presentations.
**Top con:** While performance is decent for an HDD, it cannot match the speed and responsiveness of an SSD drive for intensive tasks.
