# TLDR Review: Samsung CF398 27-Inch Monitor *Published: 2025-02-08 | Updated: 2024-12-31 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/samsung-cf398-27-inch-monitor* --- ## Verdict The Samsung Cf398 Series Curved 27-Inch FHD Monitor (C27F398) showcases a vivid display and impressive curved design, ideal for enhancing viewing experiences while gaming or working. Although lightweight and easy to set up, it lacks built-in audio and the stand doesn't offer sufficient adjustability, which may require additional purchases. The internal screen cracking issue is a significant concern, with risks of further damage and safety implications. For those prioritizing display quality on a budget, this monitor could suffice, but consider more reliable options if you seek long-term durability and robust customer service. **Top pro:** Excellent refresh rate, making it suitable for competitive gaming. **Top con:** Buttons on the back may malfunction but can often be reset with a light tap. ## Product: Samsung CF398 27-Inch Monitor **Brand:** SAMSUNG [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/samsung-cf398-27-inch-monitor) ## Pros - Excellent refresh rate, making it suitable for competitive gaming. - Enjoyable screen size and sleek curved design enhance the viewing experience. - Significant improvement over standard flat screens with reduced eye strain due to the curved display. - Anti-glare feature is beneficial, especially in bright environments. - Setup is easy with a sturdy but lightweight construction. - Offers acceptable sound options with a 3.5mm headphone jack and volume control. ## Cons - Buttons on the back may malfunction but can often be reset with a light tap. - No built-in speakers necessitate the use of external audio solutions. - The stand is made of hard plastic and lacks adjustability, requiring an additional monitor mount. - Experiences of poor customer support during troubleshooting with Samsung. - Reports of internal screen cracking and potential safety hazards, a problem also noted in other models. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Excellent refresh rate, making it suitable for competitive gaming. | Buttons on the back may malfunction but can often be reset with a light tap. | | Enjoyable screen size and sleek curved design enhance the viewing experience. | No built-in speakers necessitate the use of external audio solutions. | | Significant improvement over standard flat screens with reduced eye strain due to the curved display. | The stand is made of hard plastic and lacks adjustability, requiring an additional monitor mount. | | Anti-glare feature is beneficial, especially in bright environments. | Experiences of poor customer support during troubleshooting with Samsung. | | Setup is easy with a sturdy but lightweight construction. | Reports of internal screen cracking and potential safety hazards, a problem also noted in other models. | | Offers acceptable sound options with a 3.5mm headphone jack and volume control. | | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2024-12-31;
