While it’s a bit pricey and can be hard to find locally, many pet parents consider it worth the investment for the visible benefits to their pups’ digestion and coat. If availability or cost is a hurdle, you might want to keep an eye out for deals or consider other Purina Pro Plan formulas that focus on sensitive digestion but may differ in size or price. **Top pro:** Pets, including picky eaters, generally enjoy the taste and eat it happily. **Top con:** The price is on the higher side, which some owners find a bit steep given food costs overall. ## Product: Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy Food ## Pros - Pets, including picky eaters, generally enjoy the taste and eat it happily. - Effectively supports sensitive stomachs and skin, making it ideal for puppies with these issues. - Highly rated for its quality and ingredient selection, including salmon as the primary protein and easily digestible rice. - Contains beneficial nutrients like guaranteed live probiotics, natural prebiotic fiber, omega-6 fatty acids, and DHA to promote digestive health, skin, coat, brain, and vision development. - Large 24 lb bag is convenient to buy in bulk and reduces the need for frequent repurchasing. - Purina is a trusted brand with a strong reputation among pet owners. - Works well for multiple dogs with different sensitivities, so it’s versatile within households. ## Cons - The price is on the higher side, which some owners find a bit steep given food costs overall. - It can be difficult to find in local stores, making purchase and restock less convenient for some buyers. - A small portion of puppies, including normally easy-to-feed breeds like German Shepherds, may be less enthusiastic about the flavor. ## Pros vs Cons at a Glance | Pros | Cons | |------|------| | Pets, including picky eaters, generally enjoy the taste and eat it happily. | The price is on the higher side, which some owners find a bit steep given food costs overall. | | Effectively supports sensitive stomachs and skin, making it ideal for puppies with these issues. | It can be difficult to find in local stores, making purchase and restock less convenient for some buyers. | | Highly rated for its quality and ingredient selection, including salmon as the primary protein and easily digestible rice. | A small portion of puppies, including normally easy-to-feed breeds like German Shepherds, may be less enthusiastic about the flavor. | | Contains beneficial nutrients like guaranteed live probiotics, natural prebiotic fiber, omega-6 fatty acids, and DHA to promote digestive health, skin, coat, brain, and vision development. | | | Large 24 lb bag is convenient to buy in bulk and reduces the need for frequent repurchasing. | | | Purina is a trusted brand with a strong reputation among pet owners. | | | Works well for multiple dogs with different sensitivities, so it’s versatile within households. | | ## Last Seen Prices *Each price is the last one ShopSavvy observed, on 2025-05-03;
