## Verdict

The Prestone 15.5 Ounce AS240 Windshield Washer Fluid Booster De-Icer Additive is a solid choice if you want a reliable, economical, and eco-friendlier way to keep your washer fluid from freezing and maintain clear visibility in cold weather. It performs exactly as expected with no flashy extras, so if you’re after simple, no-nonsense performance and savings, this is a smart pick. If you want something with more cleaning power or added features, you might want to explore other washer fluid products, but for pure de-icing and freeze prevention, this one gets the job done.

**Top pro:** Effectively prevents windshield washer fluid from freezing, even in temperatures well below freezing.
**Top con:** Takes a few hours after pouring in to become fully effective, so it’s not instant.
