# TLDR Review: PetSafe Happy Ride Dog Ramp *Published: 2024-09-25 | Updated: 2024-09-25 | Source: https://shopsavvy.com/reviews-tldr/petsafe-happy-ride-dog-ramp* --- ## Verdict The PetSafe Solvit Deluxe Extra-Long Telescoping Pet Ramp is a versatile and sturdy option for assisting large, older, or mobility-challenged dogs in accessing vehicles. While it offers excellent durability and an impressive weight capacity, it does have some usability drawbacks such as its heaviness and lack of side rails. Overall, it's a solid investment for those needing a reliable pet ramp, though it's worth considering other options if weight and ease of use are primary concerns. **Top pro:** The extra-long length makes it suitable for steep inclines, providing easier access for pets. **Top con:** The ramp can be slippery in wet conditions, which may pose a risk to pets. ## Product: PetSafe Happy Ride Dog Ramp **Brand:** PetSafe [Compare prices and price history on ShopSavvy](https://shopsavvy.com/products/petsafe-happy-ride-dog-ramp) **ShopSavvy Score:** 7.6/10 *Calculated by ShopSavvy from the professional reviews and customer ratings we collected for this product.* ## Pros - The extra-long length makes it suitable for steep inclines, providing easier access for pets. - Lightweight design makes it easy to maneuver and store. - Sturdy construction supports large dogs up to 300 lbs without bending. - The telescoping feature allows for easy adjustment to different heights. - Rubber grips on the ramp ensure pets have good traction and don't slip. - High-quality aluminum material provides durability and longevity. - Ideal for older or mobility-challenged pets, helping them to get into vehicles with ease. - The ramp is easy to clean and maintain. - Designed specifically for larger breeds, accommodating their needs well. - Can be conveniently stored within most vehicles. ## Cons - The ramp can be slippery in wet conditions, which may pose a risk to pets. - It's relatively cumbersome to extend and collapse, especially for individuals who may not have a lot of strength. - Some users mentioned that the ramp lacks side rails, potentially making pets feel insecure. - Takes up a significant amount of storage space when not in use. - The connection points could be more robust;
